The Purdue Board of Trustees announced its unanimous election of Mung Chiang, currently the John A. Edwardson Dean of Engineering and executive vice president for strategic initiatives at Purdue, as the University’s next president. Chiang will replace current president Mitch Daniels effective Jan. 1, 2023. Daniels has served since January 2013.
For the first time in program history, Purdue supporters will be able to earn John Purdue Club priority points through all giving across Purdue University’s main campus. Beginning with this year’s Purdue Day of Giving on April 30, contributions to non-athletics units will now qualify for priority points, offering donors more ways to engage with and support Purdue while strengthening the university’s philanthropic impact.
The Purdue University Board of Trustees has approved the promotion of 163 faculty across the Purdue University system as well as a new degree program, a posthumous degree, resolutions of appreciation, and a naming.
