Thanks to an unexpected bequest of $8.5 million from fellow faculty member John Capaldi, Philip Low, Purdue University’s Presidential Scholar for Drug Discovery and the Ralph C. Corley Distinguished Professor of Chemistry, has funding to support more than 40 years’ worth of cancer research.
For the first time in program history, Purdue supporters will be able to earn John Purdue Club priority points through all giving across Purdue University’s main campus. Beginning with this year’s Purdue Day of Giving on April 30, contributions to non-athletics units will now qualify for priority points, offering donors more ways to engage with and support Purdue while strengthening the university’s philanthropic impact.
The Purdue University Board of Trustees has approved the promotion of 163 faculty across the Purdue University system as well as a new degree program, a posthumous degree, resolutions of appreciation, and a naming.
